I want to go to boarding school but its 39 grand.my parents have alot of money but my dad said public school was his choice.how can I convince him to let me go.

  1. Please understand that even if your parents have a lot of money, 39K is more than many people make in a year--it's a lot of money to dish out for a child's desire.

    That said, is it even because of the money that he won't send you? What about a different boarding school? Or is it the idea of a boarding school that he doesn't like? What about a private school--would he go for that? What do you have available where you live?

    I know I'm not giving you ideas on how to convince him but it's because I don't think you can. Just because you WANT something doesn't mean you're going to be able to find a way to get it. He has another want and isn't necessarily going to change just for you.


  2. Public school allowes you to stay at home and be around friends-or make some new ones.

    If your dad says public school over homeschooling I definitely would do it.

  3. You can't. It's Dad's money; it's his decision what he does with it. You may be able to negotiate which public school you go to though.
