Cook Islands or Fiji?

Question

I'm looking for a vacation in the South Pacific. Any one been to both Cook Islands & Fiji? Which would you recommend & why? Been to Tahiti & loved it. Want to explore more of the South Pacific.

Ummm The Cook Islands are not owned by people off the bounty!! wrong place!

My brother and sister in law went to rarotonga ( Cook islands) last year and loved it so much they are going back next week!!!

Some people are put off by the Fijian coup thing, but I am pretty certain this does not interfere with the tourist places out of Nandi.....I guess its up to you in what you like and want to see and do!

if you like fishing,both places are good--fiji had some water problems(unclean),but if not fixed,there's always bottled water,---both places are similar--except that fiji has a large indian population-fiji,from time to time is politically volatile,but not unsafe for tourists,don't take these things as negatives,but rather a more interesting holiday

Fiji is the place to go, as the Cook Islands are privately owned by the families that  mutinied there from The Bounty and are only accessible by invitation

I have been to both and I think that Fiji would be best!!

But the cook islands were good too. They both had great veiws! but for me FIJI!!!
