  1. Get a job.

  2. Let me give you one non-Mom tip: get the father involved as soon as possible, if not now. If he's not cooperative or if (no offense to you) you are unsure who the father is, get started on paternity establishment and the establishment and enforcement of a child support order as soon as possible. Get that guy to "father up."

You're on the Internet, so start doing your research now. Don't let your baby be shortchanged - literally.

         Good luck with your baby.

  3. First of all - don't worry - everyone needs help at some point in their lives.  You will be fine!

WIC is a great place to start.  Click here to find the WIC center near you.  They can also help you find all of the other aid available to Moms.

You will also want to sign up for the ALL KIDS insurance program for your baby once it is born.  It is free health care for all Kids in Illinois.  They also provide an option for family coverage so you can be covered to.

Click here for more info on that:

If you are not getting child support from the baby's father, you will also want to get some help securing that.

Finally, check in with your local church and see what assistance they can offer.  Many have programs to help new Moms out!

Good luck and hang in there!  :)
