  1. Cookies are used for the purpose of remembering you when you re-visit that Webpage, such as logins, Web forms, etc.

However, some cookies are used for the purpose of tracking your surfing activities to determine your interests, or used for contacting/advertising purposes. You can block these 3rd party cookies by going to Tools---->Internet Options---->Privacy (Recommended settings: Medium)

  2. cookie tracks ur actitives.

  3. Okay..Pretend you create a map. To the place you work or the place you drive to school. Now you save that map in a briefcase and call it a cookie. that is basically what cookies are. They are trackers of where you have been on the internet and how you have gotten there. They are Good because they make it so, the next time you try to access these sites, your computer already knows how to get there. So when you got to yahoo.com for the first time, it will take longer then going the next day. The map has been made and now it doesn't need to make a new one. they can be bad if the cookie brings you to a virus. A overabundance of cookies can cause slowness in a PC. most modern pc's are not affected too much, but I still think you should clean your cookies out once every 1-3 months. along with your history and temporary internet files.
