  4. I love cooked cabbage, I also like to cook onions in it and fry up some sausage or beef, and stir it in. Remember cabbage does cook down a lot, so don't cook it in a lot of water. Very little! Good luck!

  10. The best way to cook cabbage is to fry it in butter.  Let it brown a bit and add some egg noodles.  Yum!

Cabbage is good.  I always make cabbage rolls where you put hamburger meat rice and tomato sause and then you boil the head of cabbage and carefully tear off the leaves and roll aome of the meat mixture in it and roll it up and keep on like that until the meat is used up then you pour more tomato sause over it all put foil over it and bake it for about 30 minutes on 350.  Pretty tasty

    I also really like "fried cabbage"

    You shred the cabbage & melt some bacon fat in a skillet & fry the cabbage on medium heat & keep tossing it so it doesn't burn.

    fried cabbage and apples

    cut it up like normal

    heat deep skillet up with 1 tablespoon butter and some oil

    after washing cabbage put in pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper, toss to coat in oil and butter, after it starts to wilt add 1-2 cut up apples (doesn't matter what kind) sautee until cabbage is tender (sometimes i also add cinamon)

    serve

    guareenteed a hit with kids and others

  17. No, but thank  you for the thought.  Cabbage is better for you in a salad, like cole slaw.  It contains vitamin C.   And the added benefit of not smelling up  your kitchen!
