A friend of mine once said, in regards to the Uptown Art Fair, "It's not art, and it's not fair". I agree. Perhaps a better title would be: Uptown Craft Fair. However, if you like mixed media, you'll find plenty of circular saws with dainty, country scenes painted on them.

If you haven't yet, you should check out Art-a-Whirl that happens in NE. It's a spring event though.

For local artists, you can check out mnartists.org. A good website for just checking out art is artistaday.com. Endless options.
