Cool & Fun Places In Portland Oregon?

im going to portland next week and im looking for some cool things to do while im there.. 24 hour places including restraunts (NOT DINERS) food spots with crazy unusual assortments, nice hang out spots that you know of will be great NO CLUBS those i can find anywhere lol. i came across these places www.metropizza-hookah.com www.lavapdx.com www.voodoodoughnut.com just so you can get an idea of the things im looking for

Portland has excellent restaurants.  Go to oregonlive.com to find info.  There's also the NW 23rd area.  That's a really cool, kinda trendy area.  There's the Pearl District, which is a renovated warehouse district.  Downtown is cool.

Voodoo doughnut is cool, for sure.  Check out the late night dining scene at The Montage under the Morrison Bridge on the SE side.  Great busy after bar scene.  There is so much food here, so it really depends on what you want to spend and what you're into.  Sushi is great here...a great website (don't use oregonlive.com, I don't find it that helpful) is below.  Be sure to read people's reviews.  Some of my favorite funky places to eat include Pok Pok (Indonesian 'street' food on SE Divison), Toro Bravo (Tapas...no reservations, sometimes a long wait, but great food on NE Russell), Higgins or Pailey's Place (if you're looking to spend some money, check out both these places...you can't go wrong with either), The Farm (funky east side place with great food...E Burnside), Saucebox (cool bar/lounge downtown with good food...stylish).  Man...there are so many...but you won't find a ton of 24 hour places here...certainly some late night spots.  Some neighborhoods to check out...N Mississippi, SE Hawthorne/Belmont, NE Alberta, The Pearl, NW 21st/23rd...each neighborhood has it's own funky feel and unique dining spots.  On Hawthorne, the Bagdad Theater and Pub is a mainstay where you can watch a movie and drink beer...there are lots of brewpubs here.  Use that website to find some stuff and look up some of the places I mentioned.  Good luck!
