I'm heading to NYC for 5 days for my 30th birthday with two of my best friends. I'm looking for a fun place to have my birthday dinner. Any suggestions?

  1. Everything depends on what kind of fun you're looking for. Elegant fun, I think Tavern on the Green is good for special occasion (www.tavernonthegreen.com). They have several different rooms, and the best for brunch is their outdoor. It one of the restaurant inside Central Park.

Cool fun, Tao is a pretty good place (the one on s*x and the City) to hang out with gal pals and have a drink. Food is not bad at all.

Bobby Flay and Morimoto's restaurants are also NYC's signatures....

    Have a happy birthday!

  2. Jean George is an expensive but, very nice restaurant. If your looking for a less expensive place try a place in Grenedge village or Soho

  3. There are so many awesome places you can go, heres a few of my favorites

Well Known Places: Sushi Samba, Le Cirque, Park Ave Summer (might still be Park Ave Spring pending on when you come, the name changes with the seasons) STK, Buddakahn (beautiful decor) Da Silvano

Some of my favorites: Pearl Oyster Bar (best lobster roll youll ever have) PDT (great place to get started, its a speakeasy located through a telephone booth at a hot dog place called Criff Dogs. Your friends would think it was very cool) Spitzers Corner (such a chill out place, reasonable with excellent food)

I have an endless list of fantastic places. If you want something more specific you can shoot me an email :)

  4. The one Babby Flay owns...

  5. I just took a group of 10 to NYC for my wife's 30th and we had a fantastic time.

We started off at 230 5th which is the name of this rooftop bar and also the location.  We went there first since I read it gets mobbed during late evening hours.  Great view of the Empire State Building.

We then had dinner down the street at Ayza Wine & Chocolate Bar on 31st.  If you enjoy Wine pairings with cheese and/or chocolate, this is a good find.  The dinner portions are on the smaller size, but very good and reasonably priced.  It is trendy though and offers outdoor dining.

Afterwards we went to britebar and kanvas, both somewhat trendy but not over the top type bars.

Ended the night with hot dogs from Chelsea papaya.

I would recommend all of these places as they each offer different yet fun experiences.
