Ok, here's the deal. I'm going on a trip to Asia and Europe with my grandparents. What attractions should I visit? Some of the countries we'll be visiting are:

Italy

France

Germany

China

South Korea

Great Brittain

Spain

and maybe some other places, so you can post suggestions from other European and Asian places too. Thanks!

  2. Bohol island in the Philippines!

  3. Wow, go to your local bookstore and browse through some travel books.

  4. I'd suggest Bangkok, Thailand.

Wat Pho is one of the largest temples in Bangkok, and is quite famous for its large reclining Buddha with inscriptions of this former university’s teachings on the feet of the statue. However, while the Wat and the Buddha may be popular tourist stops, just separate from the temple itself and around the back lay the monks’ quarters, where quiet lanes house monks praying and going about their daily work. Also, taking the back entrance to the Wat from Maharat Road instead of the grand front entrance along Thai Wang Road will lead you to a quieter area of the Wat without the throng of tourists lining up to see the reclining Buddha. Out back there are fountains, small chedis, salas and shrines. This is the temple school area and there is even a basketball court where sometimes you will see monks shooting some hoops in their brilliant orange robes. It is a quiet place for relaxing and taking in the beautiful architecture of the monastery.

don't miss these shopping places in BANGKOK:

Chatuchak Market- Overflowing with souvenirs, food, clothes, art... It’s a great experience even for non-shoppers, and really easy to get to on the Skytrain. Open on weekends only. Next to BTS Mochit station. Very interesting, but it can be very hot and crowded.

Suan-Lum Night Bazaar- Similar to Chatuchak Market with souvenirs, local food and beer. Open daily from late afternoon until midnight. Next to MRT Lumphini station, Great place to eat and hang out in at night.

Siam Paragon- A upmarket mega mall with a department store and many high end boutiques and shops. This is a family destination with something for everyone - Siam Ocean World at the basement should keep the kids busy while the serious shopper is at work. Exit at BTS Siam Station which leads to level 2 of this mall. Connected with other shopping mall : Discovery, Siam Centre and MBK. So if you want to have some serious shopping, this is the perfect place.

Siam Square- Just opposite Siam Centre, start with Soi 5 end with Soi 2. Endless little shops of local designers. Goodies sold from great dresses to vintage bags. Shopping heaven for a budget!

Mah Boon Krong - MBK- A popular mall with hundreds of small shops offering low to mid priced casualwear, shoes, bags, mobile phones etc. etc. Linked to BTS National Stadium Station, or a short walk from BTS Siam Station.
