Question:

Coolant Leaking out of Valve Cover/Through Spark plug wire holes 1997 Mercury Mystique

My neighbors car was leaking coolant... I noticed it was coming out of the spark plug wires. It's a 1997 Mercury Mystique GS. So I pulled one of the spark plug wires and the water is pooling up above the spark plugs and coming out the holes. Is this a headgasket or something else? There is no oil in the coolant and no coolant in the oil. Thanks in advance!

  1. sounds like a head gasket or warped head does it smoke really bad when he starts it that is also a sign that it's a blown headgasket or bad head

  2. yea, it might be a head.. not really headgasket.....if you see coolant leaking out of the engine then its a headgasket..but u dont...so it might be inside...bring ur car to the nearest machanic shop and check it out before the engine gone....ok
