Coolboy Running tipped to win the Owners’ Bonus Series Heat 3
Coolboy Running has the best chances of winning the Owners’ Bonus Series Heat 3 at Peterborough in England on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. The triumphant greyhound will be awarded with prize money of £98.
The Grade A1, 420 metres flat race is scheduled to start at 21:20 GMT and the six entries confirmed for it are: Coolboy Running, Lieutenant Dan, Garlyn Story, Liffeyside Bang, Double Jagerbomb and Astrum.
The bookmakers have sown full faith in Coolboy Running, who has been doing a decent job over the past few months. He managed to win his last race at Peterborough and has very good chances of repeating such a show yet again.
B. Green’s trainee had a starting price of 2 to 1 in his last race and he dominated the rest of the pack. He did not get off to a good start in that event, but still managed to recover towards the end.
Considering his good speed and stamina, the punters will be encouraged to place the maximum number of bets on Coolboy Running, who is the son of Boherduff Light out of Ventry Venture and was born in October 2008.
Another hound, expected to do well in the Owners’ Bonus Series Heat, is Lieutenant Dan. He has been performing well in this class and has a very good opportunity of winning. However, he will have to be at his absolute best in order to end up on top.
In his previous outing at Peterborough, Lieutenant Dan finished runner up, after having entered the race as joint favourite to win. He looked in control of things at the start, but lost momentum as the race progressed.
S. Saberton, trainer of the second favourite hound, will be expecting a stronger show by his runner this time around. The black dog is the son of Droopys Scolari out of Wise Susie and was born in May 2010.
Other than the top two, Garlyn Story will also be expected to do well in today’s race. He might find things difficult in this class, but has the experience of these conditions and the bettors might risk some money on him.
P. Ward’s trainee is the son of Killahan Phanter out of Garlyn Judy and was born in July 2009.
The real battle in this race will be between the top two favourites, who are in very good shape at the moment.
