Coolbrook Paddy’s victory in the Stadium Bookmakers 480 M Trophy – Final gave David Pruhs a reason to push the boat out
On the 10th of October, the Nottingham race track scheduled a few Grade OR races, including the Stadium Bookmakers 480 M Trophy – Final. The notable event, covering a distance of 480 meters, entailed a purse of £400, rewarded to the fortunate
trainer, David Pruhs, and his young champ, Coolbrook Paddy.
Among the lot of hounds, trainer David Pruhs’s black dog was in the spotlight from the beginning of the show.
Coolbrook Paddy, with the highest bets, was sent in the quest for the £400 purse with 4/5 odds.
The trap 6 racer, wearing white and black jacket with a red number printed over it, was quite swift with his railing pace.
As he dashed through the box, his speedy tempo helped him acquire the pointer position during the second bend.
Later on he got wide while proceeding towards the finish line, but very impressively dashed along the track to cross the wire in 29.01 seconds.
Besides the purse winner, the trap 5 racer, D Firmager’s Romeo Absolute, managed to wrap up his quest as the runner-up.
The winner of the event whitewashed the black dog by 3 ¼ lengths.
Romeo Absolute’s lethargic start turned out to be a major drawback, though he was given a chance to experience a clear run on the track. With the odds of 6/1 the hound took 29.27 seconds to reach the finish line.
The third hound who concluded his quest for the purse was the trap 3 racer Little Gaffer. The 7/2 black dog chasing the lure for trainer P Rosney, got hampered while surging through the first bend. Later on when he managed to reach the third bend, the three-year-old
faced obstruction due to which he got defeated by 1 ¼ lengths.
Little Gaffer for P Rosney took 29.37 seconds cross over.
The trap 4 racer who unfortunately took 29.79 seconds to finish up fourth was Run On Gavin. Trainer A Grewcock’s hound was placed in the quest with 7/1 odds, unluckily the hurdles that came along during this chase made him lose the chance of winning the
purse.
The fifth hound who concluded the chase was also trainer A Grewcock’s hound Slick Sorento. Trap 1 racer wearing red and white jacket started off his chase in a lethargic manner, due to which he was left far behind.
The last hound who assisted in wrapping up the event was G Oswald’s Yahoo Murroe. Railing through trap 2 the black and white dog’s pace got hindered numerous times, due to which he was not able to finish off impressively.
The trap 6 racer Coolbrook Paddy presented an eye catching chase, which helped him in taking the purse of £400 home. After the victory in the previous show trainer David Pruhs again attained a chance to celebrate the thrilling victory, acquired by his hound
in the Stadium Bookmakers 480 M Trophy – Finals.
