Coolnagree geared up to finish first in Tetrarch Stakes
Coolnagree is geared up to clinch top spot in the Dylan Thomas European Breeders Fund Tetrarch Stakes, a high-stakes Irish race that will be held at Curragh racecourse on Monday, May 7. The action is scheduled to start at 2:50 (GMT).
On the Good To Soft track of 7 furlongs, the W. McCreery-trained grey filly will run against four rivals including Quote Of The Day, Takar, Triumphant and Janey Muddles. A prize cheque of €32,500 is ready for the supposed winner.
Coolnagree has won 2 out of her total 10 starts to date. The three-year-old fantastic filly has been delivering impressive performances since October 2011.
After winning a big race against 13 competitors on October 3, the maverick sprinter finished as a runner-up in the very next outing on November 6.
The filly extended her form to 2012 as well and accomplished an epic triumph on March 25 followed by another runner-up position on April 22.
These four outstanding performances have boosted up Coolnagree’s morale to a great extent along with placing her well in the betting market. At the moment, the daughter of Dark Angel out of Win Cash is carrying immense winning impetus that will help her
dominate the other four runners in the coming contest.
If the filly runs to her best, she can have up to 90 percent chances to thrive in the Stakes.
However, Takar can trigger an upset as the John M. Oxx-trained bay colt holds a favourite tag. The novice runner staged his debut on October 9, 2011 and finished 4th in his maiden race. He went on to grab top spot in the second and last outing
of his career on November 6 while being an 11-4 favourite.
Almost equally talented to Takar is Triumphant who also have finished 4th and 1st in the two only races of his career. The A. P. O’Brien-trained bay colt is confident enough to add second straight success to his career chart.
In this situation, there is likely to be a neck-to-neck competition in the race. Let us enjoy the thrilling action and see how Coolnagree manages to thrive. Good luck to all the runners.
