Coolykereen Hi to nail the William Hill Derby Trial Stakes at Oxford on 12th April
The William Hill Derby Trial Stakes will get held at Oxford over 450 metres flat on Thursday, 12th April. Taking part in tonight’s race is Out In Chil, Droopys Betson, Coolykereen Hi, Parkwest Leo, Ballycowen Dave and Droopys Boo.
The most accomplished hound on the line-up is Coolykereen Hi, Ace Hi Rumble’s three-year-old blue dog out of b***h, Moses Bridge. From 21st February to 5th April, he has bagged five races out of the six starts.
On 21st February, Coolykereen Hi, the 9/4 joint favourite, won the second race of the season in a Grade A1 450 metres flat at Poole by completing the trip in 26.56 seconds, leading the runner up of the race, Glencarra Wizard, by one and a half
length.
The other joint favourite, Clonkelly Point, was sixth hound down the line to settle the distance.
Then he was successful in a Grade A1 450 metres flat race at Poole on 25th February. The 5/4 favourite of the race, Coolykereen Hi settled the distance in 26.64 seconds. Omega Mick, the runner up of the race leapt through the 3 ¼ length gap and
timed the distance in 26.90 seconds.
The evening’s favourite struck hat trick by claiming the Grade A1 450 metres flat race on 6th March at Poole after reaching the other end of the wire in 26.52 seconds. Finishing the closest to the winner was Droopys College and leaping for the
third position was Glencarra Wizard.
Coolykereen Hi then stumbled on 22nd March by coming fourth in the RD Racing Standard at Oxford, as the winner, All For David, timed the distance in 26.76 seconds. Tipp Are Back was the runner up of the race while Coolykereen Hi took 27.26 seconds
to settle the race.
He then added two wins on his record by first winning the Claydon Racing Standard on 29th March at Oxford after completing the trip in 26.92 seconds. Hoots Mon was the runner up of the race.
On 5th April, Coolykereen Hi won the Ken Campbell Standard at Oxford over 450 metres. The 2/1 joint favourite timed the track distance in 27.01 seconds and was followed by Hoots Mon.
Coolykereen Hi has all the chances of striking another hat trick through tonight’s race.
