Cooneen Black to overshadow others in the Greyhound Sporting League
6 hounds will be competing at Nottingham in the Greyhound Sporting League – Leg 6 on 17th February, 2012. This Grade A3 race will be run over a distance of 500 metres and holds a purse of £110.
The contenders competing in this race are Swift Sonchez, Bandicoot Lulu, Filey Champ, Is That Yourself, Cooneen Black, and Michaels Angels.
Swift Sonchez, son of Hometown Boy Nga out of Precious Kid, whelped in June 2010, has been pitched down one level.
His performance in this race is not expected to be grand. He stood 3rd in his last race in the Greyhound Sporting League Leg 1 at Nottingham which was held on 10th
February, 2012.
Bandicoot Lulu, daughter of Crash, out of Bandicoot Lola, will be facing some tough competition in this race. She finished 2nd in her last race held on 10th February at Nottingham.
Filey Champ has been showing a poor record in this grade of racing and no change is expected from his performances in this race.
The son of Westmead Chipp out of Light Feet finished 6th in his last race at Nottingham in the Grade OR Stadium Bookmakers Sprint Trophy on 6th February, 2012.
Despite Is That Yourself’s two first place finishes at Nottingham this year, his odds of winning this race are not high.
The son of Ninja Jamie out of Illtellyouthis, showed his dominance on 10th January, 2012, over a 500 metre course when he defeated Mill Goofy by a neck.
Cooneen Black, the daughter of Premier Fantasy out of Cooneen Star, is attracting major bets.
She has the tendency to set an early pace and has the capability to come in first. She finished 3rd on 6th February 2012, at Nottingham in a 305m race.
Her last race was on 11th February, 2012, A2 500M Flat at Nottingham, in which she grabbed the 5th position.
Michaels Angels, son of Droopys Maldini out of Fast March, starts the race slowly but gains momentum as the race proceeds. He has not secured a position in the top 3 ranks in his last three races.
He finished 3rd in his fourth race at Nottingham,  which was held on 20th January, 2012.
It is being speculated that Cooneen Black, the race favourite, will emerge from this race victorious.
Her odds of winning this race have been calculated as 2 to 1.
The second place is likely to be awarded to Is That Yourself, whose winning odds are 5 to 2.
The third place victory may be achieved by Swift Sonchez.
