can a black ghost knife fish be in the same tank as a pranha

A black knife ghost fish is a great pet that gives you a ton of entertainment swimming both forward and backwards, peaceful enough to eat out of your hand. A piranha on the other hand can be less than peaceful and I don't recommend trying to put them together or hand feeding the piranha.

Knife fish use electric currents to find their way around, not many other species do well with an electric fish in the same tank.

the right answer would be yes if the pranha is small and alone. pranha  get more aggressive in groups in fact it might be good to buy another black knife... keep them fed well and they should be fine but it also depends on the fish it self some black knifes and pranha would do well together while others wouldn't. you take a chance but u have the odds in ur favor. also make sure the tank is big enogh like 55gallon or more.

no piranha's eat anything that dosen't look like them.

First I want ot let you know, pirranahs are schoolers and get about a foot long(Red belly varietys) and need a 350+ gallon tank. Yes they can go together, but red bellys need to be in schools and the knife needs the same foods.

ummm... no the piranha will most likely eat it unless more than 86% of the swimable area is hiding caves and plants.

(based on a 55 gallon tank)
