Cooperative learning in middle school math?

Question

I teach 7th grade math and want to start using Kagan cooperative learning structures. I'd like to hear from MIDDLE SCHOOL OR HIGH SCHOOL MATH teachers who use the Kagan structures ... any tips for me? What do you use for classbuilding during the first week of school? Thanks so much! :)
