Coordinates of the other end-point?

i have to find the coordinates of the other end-point of a segment given one end point and the mid-point M, p(9,3,),M(1,2), c(3,5),M(5,-7) G(5,-9),M(8,-15/2)? how do i solve these problems?

  1. Sorry, made some mistakes the first time; this should be right:

    Use the midpoint formula: because the midpoint is directly in between, it is simply the average of the end points. thus, for the x coordinate, you add the x coordinates of the endpoint and divide by two, then do the same using y coordinates for it. So, here you have the midpoint but not one of the endpoints, thus, you will have to do (9 + x)/2 = 1 for the x coordinate, and (3 + y)/2 = 2 for the y. Do the same for the other two:

    (3 + x)/2 = 5; (5 + y)/2 = -7; (5 + x)/2 = 8; (-9 + y)/2 = 15/2
