Copa http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Venezuela-c3039 Player Ratings – Venezuela
Venezuela went into the game with Brazil, as the underdogs. Early on in the game, the team hardly did anything to prove their critics wrong. However, the Venezuelans burst into life in the second half of the game and looked quite threatening. There were
moments when it seemed like they might be able to do the unthinkable and even beat Brazil. Despite that fact, the match ended with the teams being tied at 0-0.
Here is a look at the Venezuelan players performances:
Vega: Was easily the best player on display for his team. Made some fine saves, that helped keep his side in the game, otherwise Brazil would have been out of sight at the end of the ninety minutes.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gabriel-Cichero-c14297: Defended aptly, didn’t have a lot to do. His flank was relatively under less pressure, as opposed to Rosales’s.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oswaldo-Vizcarrondo-c28839: Played like a standard defender. Didn’t make any brilliant tackles and was caught out of position on an occasion or two.
Grendy Perozo: Played just like Vizcarrondo. Didn’t do an awful lot, but managed to make some tackles. Was caught out of position occasionally and was nearly humiliated by Pato.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Neymar-c27639. Didn’t do much to keep the fiery Brazilian out and could have cost his team the match.
Cesar Gonzalez: Played a decent game of football, showed his creative side when he tried to catch Cesar off his line, with an ambitious effort.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Franklin-Lucena-c14114: Played in the centre of the pitch, but did very little to make a difference. Failed to break down the Brazilian play and wasn’t very good at distributing the ball.
Rincon: Just like his midfield partner, was largely missing in the centre of the pitch and was overwhelmed by the Brazilians time and time again.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucas-c22528 off guard and nearly created a goal scoring opportunity for his team. However, apart from that, he failed to do much to make any sort of a difference.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Miku-c25758: Could have seen his name in lights at the end of the game, but his scuffed effort let him and his country down. Didn’t show much movement and was often caught napping on the pitch.
Rondon: The striker was hardly noticeable in the game and apart from him picking up the yellow card, there wasn’t much that he did.
Substitutes
Giacomo Di Giorgi, Moreno, Maldonado: Apart from Moreno, both the other substitutes came on in the last ten minutes of the game. As a result, they couldn’t do much to change the outlook of the game. Moreno’s very late yellow, singled the end of the game
and was his only notable contribution.
