Copa America Match Report – Brazil vs Paraguay Quarter-finals – Part 1
Going into their quarter final, both Brazil and Paraguay were undefeated in the Copa http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390. However, despite that fact, Brazil were still being regarded as the favourites to come out on top, once the game came to an end.
The match kicked off with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 trying to dominate early on and in the 5th minute, Ramires had thefirst chance of the game. The midfielder got the ball some thirty from goal and then sprinted forward, before blasting a shot well wide of the mark.
In the 7th minute http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paraguay-c2979 responded via Estigarribia, who cut in from the left and tried to blast a shot into the goal, only to see his effort sail wide.
In the 8th minute of the game, Pato raced onto a ball near the left. The striker then went on to zip into the area and found Neymar with a brilliant pass. The forward then went on to attempt a volley, but slipped as he was going to connect and
hence sent his effort past the keeper and past the post.
In the 26th minute, Veron poorly cleared a ball, which fell into the feet of Ganso. The midfielder then played on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Neymar-c27639. Unfortunately, with only the keeper to beat, the striker sent his effort wide of the mark.
In the 32nd minute, Santos sent a free kick towards http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucio-c22597. The defender then tried to smack the ball from four yards out. However, the keeper managed to dive just in time to deny the ball from crossing the line.
In the 40th minute, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c32532. The defender then went on to pass the ball despite being in a great position, but that proved to be a poor demission as the resulting kick sailed wide of the mark.
Soon after the first half came to an end, with both teams cancelling each other out and with the score line reading nil all.
