game of the competition, there was still room for almost anything to happen in the game.
In a rather bizarre turn of events, both teams skipped singing their respective national anthems as they took to the field to get things underway.
In the early minutes of the game, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 looked to be the more threatening side. They were stringing together a number of passes and it seemed like the samba boys were going to try and humiliate Venezuela in the game.
In the 4th minute, Neymar burst into the opposition area and played the ball to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-Pato-c4901. Pato, then went on to beat his marker with ease, but was ruled offside by the linesman.
In the 13th minute of the game, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c32532 down the flank, who curled in a brilliant cross. Robinho then went on to volley the ball, only to see it sail well over the post.
As the game progressed, it seemed like Brazil were out for a practice session, as they barely let the opponents get the ball. Time and time again, the Venezuelans had to regroup, in order to avoid crumbling under the pressure that the Brazilians were enforcing
on them.

The Venezuelan’s broke in the 37th minute and were looking to do some damage on the counter. However, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 went on to commit a cynical foul near the halfway line and instead of playing the advantage – which would have benefited Venezuela,
the referee stopped play to show Silva a yellow card.
Just a minute later, in the 38th minute, Brazil did a little counter attack of their own. It was Neymar who broke for the team once again, as he played a pass to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robinho-c31382. Robinho then used his pace to get in a one on one situation, only his effort
was eventually cleared off the line and kept the score at nil all.
