Colombia took on Peru, in the first quarter final of the Copa http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390. Having dominated their group prior to the game, the Colombians were the firm favourites to win the game.
The match kicked off with Falcao going on to cut between the opposition defence and bursting into the Peru box, in the 2nd minute. He then played Aguilar on with a pass, only to his effort sail wide of the mark.
In the 14th minute of the game, Vargas went on to get down the left wing using his pace and quick feet. He then went on to beat a defender before whipping in a cross. Ramos got into to head the ball, however, Perea went on to get in between the
ball and the player just in time to head the ball clear.
As the match progressed, Peru seemed to be taking the game to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Defence-c38904’s side.
In the 27th minute, a poor clearance from Rodriguez went on to fall to Moreno. He then played on a pass to Falcao, who rifled an effort towards the goal, only to see it sail wide of the mark.
In the 38th minute of the game, Guarin whipped in a telling cross, which was cleared by Ramos. However, his attempted clearance fell to Moreno who tried to head goal wards, only to see his shot get deflected behind.
In the 44th minute, just before the end of the first half, Colombia were awarded a corner, which was met by Yepes. The defender had ample time to get his head on the ball, but managed to send his effort over the bar.
Soon after the first half came to an end, with both teams being level at nil all.
