The second half kicked off, the same way the first half ended. Uruguayan were taking the game to the Paraguayans, who could do nothing more than holding their lines.
However, as the half progressed, the Paraguayans finally looked to get a strong footing in the game. They looked to try and get a goal back, as quickly as they could, in order to avoid being put to bed.
In the 54th minute, Valdez went on to take a pop at the Uruguyan goal, from nearly nothing and his brilliant effort went on to hit the cross bar, after being deflected behind by the keeper.
In the 69th minute, it seemed like a penalty was going to be awarded to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paraguay-c2979. Coates went on to tap Zeballos in the area and the player went down, as though he was struck by lightning. However, the referee spotted the dive and awarded the
free kick to Uruguay.
In the 73rd minute, Cavani missed a glorious chance to play on Forlan in the area. However Eguren managed to latch on to the ball, only to see his effort get deflected.
In the 81st minute, Valdez showed great skill, as he went on to flick the ball over a defender and then volleying it towards the goal. Unfortunately for him, Muslera was up to the challenge as he denied his team from losing their two goal lead.
In the 90th minute, Forlan went on to officially put the game to rest. Cavani went on to play a brilliant cross ball to Suarez, who headed the ball into the path of Forlan. The striker then went on to race towards the ball, as he stroked it into
the back of the net.
Following that goal, the referee soon went on to blow the whistle to signal the end of the game and in doing so, officially went on to label Uruguay as the champions of the Copa America 2011.
