The second half kicked off with a five minute delay, mainly due to the fact that Venezuela seemed to be fine tuning their last minute preparations before getting on to the pitch.
Nonetheless, once the teams did finally get things under way, it seemed like those extra minutes were paying of for Venezuela, as they looked to take the game to Peru, early on in the second half.
In the 46th minute of the game, Maldonado had the chance to attack a bouncing ball in the area. However, the player just couldn’t get to the ball in time and failed to convert the chance.
In the 47th minute, Miku went on to create space for himself, out of virtually nothing in the box. Unfortunately, after doing all the hard work, the player went on to see his shot roll just wide of the post.
In the 58th minute, Venezuela’s hopes of getting back in the game took a massive blow. Rincon went on to go studs up on Lobaton and as a result, he was shown a straight red card. On closer inspection, it seemed like a harsh decision since there
was minimal contact, but the referee was in no mood to change his mind.
In the 63rd minute, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Venezuela-c3039 as they scored their second goal of the night. Paolo found Guerrero with a pass on the edge of the box. The forward then went on to play a one-two with Chiroque and
then blasted a finish into the roof of the net.
In the 78th minute, Venezuela went on to get a goal back in the game. Arango got the ball some twenty yards from goal and went on to smack a low finish into the back of the net. As a result, it seemed like all hope was not lost, just yet.
In the 90th minute, Guerrero went on to beat a defender, before carefully slotting a finish into the back of the net, as a result, he sent Peru 3-1 up in the game.
Then in stoppage time, it was Guerrero once again, who found the back of the net. The forward went on to chest the ball, as he slid a finish into the back of the net. In doing so, he helped his side go 4-1 up and cruise to victory, while scoring 5 goals
in the tournament and all but ensuring his name on the golden boot.
