Copa Del Rey: Sevilla vs. Malaga – First Half Report (Part 1)
Both Sevilla and Malaga looked to be going onto the pitch with high spirits, as they were to face each other in a Copa Del Rey first leg. It was the last match before the winter break for all the Spanish teams and it was definitely the time for the coaches to work on their respective teams in order to boost their morale. It was definitely the time where teams like Sevilla and Malaga needed a win in order to get their confidence back.
Sevilla and Malaga both suffered from losses during their weekend Spanish La Liga matches. Sevilla were to face the highflying Real Madrid side in their home ground, the Santiago Bernabeu. It was definitely the time for Sevilla to capitalize as they were off to a bad start in the Spanish La Liga. However, with their striker Frederic Kanoute and their winger Jesus Navas missing out, the mid-table side barely managed to find the pace that they had last year when they were able to defeat the Los Blancos.

It was definitely heart breaking for Malaga, as they were to face Sevilla in a Copa Del Rey tie next.
