To all: If you want to flame me, please dont bother. I dont want to read any c**p about myself and drugs as I'm innocent... Here goes... Cops raided my house, found roommates dope. Didnt want to snitch so they took me to jail... 9 months later, they dismissed charges against me, no fingerprints found on bottles. Anyway, didnt want to ruffle any feathers but I sold some tickets the evening before the raid... $1,700 cash I stashed under dresser. After I got out of jail, room was tossed and money was gone. They left sheet of all confinscated items. That cash was not on the list. Also my daughters cash was missing and not on the list... Out of the 7 officers who searched, it was funny. A husband/wife team cant even make the payments on their mortgage and house is in foreclosure (printed in local newspaper), yet they go on big vacations... I'm wondering... Anything I can do?

  1. when dope is found in the room or house where you live you do not have to be the owner of the dope or a user. you are there and you know dang well you know it was there. you admitted you knew it belonged to your friend so yes you are just as guilty as your friend.i do not believe for one minute you had money stolen. if you had you would have raised h**l over it.go ahead and file a complaint but you need to be aware of a law. it is a felony to file a false complaint against a officer. he can also turn around and sue you .your story sounds made up anyway so i would just drop it.

  2. demand an investigation..contact your city council member for your district...

contac the local news ......like 7 on your side...or something like that

  3. I would suggest going to the chief of police and filing a report, as well as a suspected theft report on the officers that searched your hosue. If you have a list of them, even better. Bring that list in, and show him the amount of money lost. Then it should be in his hands to go on and find out what happened, and who may have taken your money. This is in no way legal, and all money taken during a raid (assuming it isn't drug money, which your daughters would't be) has to be given back.

So just file a report, and something should happen.

  4. not really, you would have to prove that they stole it.  Just chalk it up to experience. If you go after the cops publicly it could lead to more trouble for you. You could file a report but it probably wont do much.
