Copying AVI movies back to my Sony camcorder?

Hi there..please help if you know the answer it's urgent!

I have made a 12 minute movie in Windows Movie Maker, having originally shot the footage on my Sony DCR-HC37. When I try and save the AVI file back to the Sony tape (there is an option to do this in Movie Maker) there is an error message saying 'my camcorder doesn't support this'..which seems strange as it's a new Sony camcorder and surely will allow this? Has anyone else had these issues and did you manage to resolve it?

To do this, the camcorder has to have DV in enabled.   The DCR-HC37 doesn't support this, so you can't do it - sorry!
