Can you copy stuff off an ipod onto your hard drive?

I just got one and i want to copy some files from my dads ipod on to my hard drive so i can get them on my own ipod?

It doesn't seem to let me drag and drop stuff. Is there any other way to do it?

  1. I believe items on your Ipod are protected against that.

  2. I use an app called iPodDisk for that but I also am using a mac. I'm not sure if there is a similar program for PC's but yes it can be done that way.

  3. The worst thing about ipods is no dropping and dragging, try windows media player, and then maybe you can copy them from your ipod to a CD Rom.

  4. You can try this YouTube tools, it can automatically download and convert youtube video to other video and audio formats mobile phone, iPod, iPhone, Pocket PC, PSP, or Zune ect.

    Free download here:

Also, you can find some other software:

  5. if its music then u cant. if its a file that isn't music highlight it then do ctrl+C at the same time. then go to where you want to put the file then do ctrl+V.

    hope this helps
