Copyright and BBC broadcast radio: I minute clip of a radio program. Is it illegal to play it to class?

This is to an adult University class of 13.

If okay, how do you know.

I need to cover the copyright angle for the assignment.

I cannot see any waivers on the site.

Copyright usually allows educational use without explicit permission.  If you have a legitimate class you may be able to use it as long as you include copyright notification.  I am not an attorney, check with one.  My spouse is a certified teacher in Michigan.
