Copyright clothing rules

Hi,

I was wondering if any one knew what the rules of copyright were.Is it true that if you use someone else clothing desighn but change at least 1 thing on it.It becomes your own?Please help!

  1. The general rule is actually pretty simple.  Generally speaking, you cannot appropriate another's copyrighted work without permission.  Making small changes to a copyrighted work is known as creating derivative work.  The original copyright owner has rights not only to the original work, but also to derivative works.
