Is it legal to take images of copyright products such as toys (hello kitty), DVD, VCD to used on blog for sell?

  1. There is a limited exception to copyright if you are using a photo (or illustration) of the brand image in direct conjunction with a item you lawfully own and are selling (or otherwise using commercially).

    So if you have a Hello Kitty doll, you can post a photo of that Hello Kitty doll (which contains the Hello Kitty logo) as a way of advertising the sale.

    However, you cannot use that logo when it is not being used for that specific item (so you can't put a Hello Kitty logo on your site if you are advertising something else or selling "various other items.")


  2. Selling anything using a copyrighted logo is illegal. You don't own it so you cannot use it for sales.
