Coral On TV Standard Trophy expected to be entertaining at Romford
Romford is due to host opening three heats of the Coral On TV Standard Trophy on Monday, March 26, 2012. The bookmakers have rated Lil Risky favourite for the first heat, set to start at 19:27 GMT.
All three competitions are expected to produce a lot of drama. The runners competing in second heat of the trophy are: Crossfield Jet, Jennas Pony, Clarecastle Dub, Killeenagh Lad, Savana Reg and Hazels Pride.
According to the betting forecast, Crossfield Jet is enjoying the highest starting price of 9 to 4. The black dog did not perform well earlier this month, but he bounced back to seal an emphatic win in a 460 metres heat on March 22.
Leading the race all the way through, he defeated Doonane Lad by two and a half lengths. N. Savva’s trainee looks well prepared to establish his supremacy by winning first round heat comprehensively.
As per the plan, the 400 metres heat will begin at 19:58 GMT. The winning price has been set as £150. Although Crossfield Jet is in good shape to thrash his opponents, he cannot afford to be complacent.
Jennas Pony, who has run some of her best races at this venue, will test his abilities. However, one thing that might worry her supporters is that the white and fawn b***h was below par in her previous race. She completed the order of finish by a huge margin
of 12¾ lengths.
Killeenagh Lad looks another dangerous runner, but he will have to be at his best. Likewise, Savana Reg and Clarecastle Dub will need to track carefully on first two bends.
Heat 3 is set to get underway at 20:31 GMT. Among the entries are: Brittons Empire, Nans Turbo, Melodys Express, Jewel Magic, Minglers Jaguar and Boris Johner.
The bookmakers have given highest starting price to Brittons Empire. The finalist of 2011 Pall Mall is all set to show his class tonight. In his most recent outing, C. Allsopp’s trainee was not impressive, as he finished fourth in the list.
Jewel Magic will be able to fancy his chances, if he avoids possible trouble on the track. Minglers Jaguar needs a slice of luck, whereas Boris Johner will have to pick an early pace to beat this line-up.
In the third heat, it is going to be a tug of war between Brittons Empire and Jewel Magic. No matter who grabs victory, the clash will be quite dramatic.
