Cordless phone batteries? AAA ni-mh 550 mAH?

Our batteries in our cordless phones are pathetic and hold hardly any charge conking out in the middle of conversations. I saw some today in a phot shop to replace them. They were AAA NI-MH like the ones we've got , but the ones in the shop were 100 mAH where as ours state 550 mAH. Is there a difference? Do I need to get the exact same mAH? Is a higher one better? Help!

  1. a high mAH battery will last longer. I just bought an 800 mAH battery for my Uniden phone from http://cheapipodbatteries.info/ipod-ipho... for $0.99. Much better prices than target!

Your phone should have a built-in charger so using rechargable AAA batteries is probably extra work for no additional gain.

  2. Yes the person below me is correct about the battery you have now being the better battery. The higher the Mah the better. You can get new batteries for a really low prices from http://www.needbattery.com

  3. 550 ma. is better than 100...however on an 'AAA' 1.2 volt re-chargeable, that won't last long either.. If you can find a higher ma. battery, get it.. HOWEVER, it may not fit, or be the right size to use in your cordless phone. (Next time you buy a cordless phone, get one with a higher voltage, or larger battery, I use one that has 1200 ma. and lasts quite a long time.) I use a 3.6 Volt battery in my Panasonic.!!
