Question:

Core 2 duo laptops a good investment?

i'm planning on purchasing the HP 15.4" Laptop featuring Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5750 (DV6938SE), but i'm worried that core 2 duos will phase out and by next year i would be paying like 600-700 for the same laptop? could i just settle for something a bit under instead so i can save the extra 100?

i'm using it for school, no gaming or anything but i feel i might be missing out on the next gen stuff if i don't go with the core 2. any suggestions/advice? thanks!

  1. No computer is a good investment.

Whatever you buy will drop in value from the day you bring it home.

That's just something that you have to get used to if you want to buy computers (and if something a bit less will do the job, why not save a bit of money?).
