  1. the core muscles are the foundations for strength and balance of the human body. The abdomenal area, obliques and the back are the commonly known core muscles. They stabilize the body during any physical activities since a lot of these muscles are connected to the upper and lower body. This group of muscles play a big role in injury prevention especially among athletes.

  2. it helps with posture

  3. Extremely critical to have a strong core if you are an athlete or not. They are your foundation.  These muscles, which in my opinion, constitute all the muscles from your thoracic and shoulder girdle area all the way to your hip musculature. Of course, including all your abdominal and lower back muscles.

Now, being an athlete, if any or all of these are weak and tight, you definetly will not be STRONG,POWERFUL, FAST and I'm pretty sure you you will not be mobil. Your chance of an injury will be high.

That is why core or pillar training is A MUST for Sports Training.
