Brazilian club Corinthians have come forth and stated that they are no longer in negotiations with Manchester City, over the possibility of landing Carlos Tevez from the club.
Corinthians were reported to have lodged a bid worth around forty million Euros for the player, however, with City not accepting the offer, the deal seems to have finally died out.
At the same time, the Brazilian transfer window is set to close at 12 midnight on the 20th of July and unless a very late deal is agreed between the two clubs.
However, the possibility of that happening is slim to none, considering a statement was released on the clubs website, which states that it was close to impossible for both the teams to reach an agreement over the player.
"The director of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista comes forward officially to communicate the impossibility of the signing of Argentinean forward Carlos Tevez.

"While recognising Manchester City's efforts and those of everyone involved, there's no more time for the signing to be finalised, considering that the window to sign players from abroad ends on Wednesday, July 20."
It seems like City’s massive asking price for Tevez is what has caused this deal to fall. Corinthians were willing to pay off the forty million Euros in instalments, which is something that City deemed unacceptable.
Nonetheless, despite that fact, it seems like City are more inclined to looking to the future and are already looking to reinforce their strike options. The team is looking to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Aguero from Atletico Madrid and are hoping to wrap up his signing,
within a week.
Now with Tevez most probably staying at the club and Aguero to join him soon, it seems like all h**l is going to break lose in the Premier League. City are going to be a rampant force of nature to be reckoned with and with the two Argentines playing upfront,
the Blue side of Manchester can actually go on and push for top honours.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson himself went on to admit that City are finally in a position to compete with the Red Devils and with Tevez not moving away, that might just turn out to be true.
Nonetheless, that being said, what can also be said assuredly is that, should City keep a hold of Tevez (which they most probably will), they are bound to suffer from this transfer window drama once again, in January. As a result, they need to decide if
they want to keep putting up with Tevez, or if they want him to leave and be happy elsewhere.
