The official for the Brazilian outfit confirms that the club is looking for a world class striker, and is ready to nurse the Rossoneri aggressor’ persistent thigh injury.
Corinthians director of football Duilio Alves has admitted that the club is on the lookout for a new striker, to take the vacant space left over by the departed Adriano.

The club has now moved their attention to other options to match their desired quality and the price, and have their eyes set on Pato, who has been struggling with a recurring muscle injury.
The injury of the out-of-form Milan striker has baffled many, and the attacker has made only 18 appearances for his team in the ongoing season, before catching another blow to his cranky thigh-muscle.
Duilio Alves stated that he would love to have a talent the like of Pato in his team, but stated that no such contact has been made with AC Milan or the player, so far. The executive stated that he has closely followed the player’s injury progress, and will

"I like that idea, but we have not spoken to him yet. I have been following his situation through the press, he is a great player and he would be welcome here. Corinthians' doors are open for him to come here and recover. We want a world-class striker, we
have to think this way because of the dimension of this club.”
