Question:

Cork Mouse Pad Needs Life?

I bought a cork mouse pad earlier today, and the packaging said that it was customizable, I went to the site, but it didn't even list the mouse pad as an item, let alone provide ideas for customization. Anyway, it got me thinking, and now I want to do something to liven it up.

I've thought about maybe adding some fabric, but I don't want it to be permanent in case I decided to change the fabric later, and I don't want to staple the fabric to the bottom, as the staples may scratch the surface of my desk. Any ideas on how to solve this?

  1. the dots may be a good idea but they may get hot and then turn in to a gooy mess.....(I've had it happen) there's stuff called quilt basting spray, just spray it on to the cloth and then stick it down it will hold for a while, they also make reposinational (probably not spelled right) spary adhivise that will do the same thing as the quilt basting spray but hold a little longer and stronger.

  2. / Adhesive spray is available at almost any local art supply store...

Cork is made of tree bark, so the fabric will be flat, and can easily be removed anytime.

  3. Michael's has Removable Glue Dots that work really well. It will hold the fabric in place for now and when you want to change it the fabric it will peel off and the glue dots roll off easily ;)))
