Corleones Dondon dominant on the lineup of the Stadium Bookmakers Sprint Trophy on 27th February
The Stadium Bookmakers Sprint Trophy will be held at Nottingham on Monday, 27th February. It will be raced over 305 metres flat and the £150 prize money will be contested for by six hounds.
The lineup for the race includes Corleones Dondon, Ballymac Denis, Tolpuddle Steve, Farneys Mark, Tictac Diamond and Dynamo Joe.
Corleones Dondon, Ballymac Maeve’s four-year-old son out of b***h Corleones Flyer, is the most accomplished hound on the lineup. From the six starts that he has made during the 2012 season, he won four times, came second once and missed one of the starts to a fifth position.
His series of victories began from the second start of the season when Corleones Dondon won the D1 305 metres flat on 14th January at Nottingham. He was through the track distance in 18.19 seconds and led by 1 ½ lengths. He was followed in by the 11/10 favourite of the race, Loyal Legacy.
On 23rd January, he won the Stadium Bookmakers Sprint Trophy at Nottingham. He was on the other side of the wire in 18.14 seconds while leading by two lengths. The evening’s favourite, Hi There Rocky, finished the race fourth in line after the winner.
On 30th January, Corleones Dondon bumped into an unfortunate fifth ending but bounced back on the field on 13th February in the Betfred Casino Sprint Trophy at Nottingham. He was through the 305 metres track distance in 18.09 seconds. He was soon followed by the 7/4 favourite of the race, All For David, who took up the second slot.
Corleones Dondon was victorious in his most recent race in the Caffreys Sprint Trophy at Nottingham. He conquered the 305 metres distance in 18.15 seconds while leading by a head’s difference.
The 9/4 joint favourites of the race, Fifis Rocket finished third and Ballymac Drogba was the last hound to leave the field.
Another hound who attracts attention is Dynamo Joe, Westmead Joe’s three-year-old black son out of b***h Hold On Angel, who posted a victory through his debut start.
On 20th January, Dynamo Joe won a 274 metres race by covering the distance in 16.17 seconds and led by 3 ¼ lengths. Millabbey Kit was the runner up for the race.
