Corn Snake Care?

Im buying a corn snake that i fell in love with tomarrow. and I've got all of the basic tools for caring for him. Is their anything important I should no?

  1. cage clips. no sand, cedar or pine, switch to pre-killed, don't house it with another snake unless they are breeding. clean water dish, place to hide.


  2. congrats for your new corn !

    they are easy to care for and they appreciate handling.i have two and they never bitte.they love to move and explore. they are escape artist so be sure you have clips for the tank because they are pretty strong and could escape easily.

    the best substrate you can put on the tank is paper towel. even if its not very beautifull its so easy to clean!

    they can live up to 20 years so they are lifetime pets.

  3. nope, they are very easy to care for. just be careful when picking it up, it may mistake you for food so you may want to grab it from the rear or touch it first so it realizes what you are. Feeding it outside of the cage can minimize any chance of getting bit. handle it often and really that's it.
