  1. rub it

  2. uh pull it?

  3. preheat oven to 325 and put whole ears of corn with husks on in oven for 30 min. The corn slightly roasts = parboiled. When you pull of the husks the silks have melted away or come of with the husks!!

  4. after removing the husk, i usually clean with a wet towel or a sponge. scrubbing with a sponge or one of those soap filled dishwashing tools won't hurt the corn. make sure to dry well before cooking.

  5. You CAN buy a cornsilk brush at specialty cookware stores like bedbath&beyond.  They are just stiff little brushes.

I don't use that brush.  I just pull as much of the silk off as I can.

My husband is mexican, and he says it is an old wives' tale down there that eating a little of the silk by accident can actually be good for you, and help against urinary tract infections.

  6. Well i can pick it off with a fork

  7. Taking of silk can be annoying!

When you take time to take of the silk try peeling it of the corn by ripping off alot at at a time with a fork or your hands. Don't pick one by one it just takes forever. You can always rip of the ends of the corn(the big chunky piece at the end) This helps alot of the silk off and it gets rid of the part you dont want to eat!

  8. There are special corn silking brushes you can get at kitchen stores that work pretty good.  Sometimes a damp, not wet, paper towel can help too.  If all else fails, just boil/blanch it, that gets part of it off too and what little is left thereafter can just be picked off by the one eating it.

  9. Take a toothbrush and scrub it off...Really it works!! I saw it on goodmorning america and its fast too!!

  10. shuck from the bottom, same with bannanas

  11. take a napkin and scrub it from top to bottom a few times

  12. Start at the ear of the corn and just peel in the downwards possition. Or soak the corn in boiling water.

  13. when you shuck it, split the silk evenly over the cob.. so when you shuck it will pull all the silk off for you.. you might have to pull a couple stragglers, but it works pretty good.

  14. peel it duhh
