there was like a 3 1/2 corn snake in my back yard under my air condition thing...we saw him because my dog was barking( but n.e ways he was stuck all the way in there and the only thing that was out of the A.C thing was him head and like 6inches of his body ..so i got him and pulled him all the way out.

then i wanted to keep him but i dont have another tank because i didnt want him to eat my other corn snake

so i let him free but he was brused up pretty bad.

did i do the right thing by letting him go or should i have kept it.?

by the way ..we named him A.C because he was stuck under there

  1. if you didnt let A.C. go he would have died in your tank from stress not injury. He will be able to recover more easily in the wild, although he might have a hard time because of his injury.

  2. no you didnt do the right thing. the right thing would be to have left it alone to begin with. all you did was hurt the snake. next time leave wild animals alone. how would you like it if someone bruised you up?

  3. You did the right thing.

A wild animal should be left in the wild.

Although corn snakes arent known for being cannibals...like the king snake......a wild caught animals could have had mites or even internal parasites that could have been transferred to your pet...so yes indeed...you did the right thing.

  4. yeah sounds like u did the right think snakes are pretty hardy im sure he'll be fine

  5. Letting him go was the right thing to do. He was a wild snake and they get banged up all the time. He will just chock it up to life experience and call it a day.
