  1. whenever i have trouble feeding my corns i place them in a brown paper bag overnight with a LIVE pinky.  fold it down about 3 times and tape it shut. this will give them a small and dark place (which they prefer when eating) and it has always worked for me even with the reallly stubborn ones :)

    Good Luck!!

  2. try feeding a live mouse. or if its a male he is wanting to mate so will be off food for a few weeks. even if nothing changes they can sense breeding season

  3. try feeding him a live mice .....or if you do feed him live then try feeding him frozen....he's probably ok but is just fasting for awhile

  4. Since he is an older snake don’t worry too much about it not eating...snakes go on hunger stirkes all the time. I had a ball python that didn’t eat for almost a year...I have another one that just got off of a 6 month hunger stirke. I had a blood python that went on a hunger strike for 5 or 6 months. My adult kingsnake went on a hunger strike for about 4 months. Snakes just do that. Unless your snake is losing muscle mass I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Don’t offer it food too often you will stress it out...just offer it food as normal...every 10 days or so.

Now I have to ask the obvious question…why don’t you handle him?  If you don’t have the time for it you should let someone have him that does have the time.

    Good luck!

  5. Temperature--the UTH mat should be 85F.  Are you measuring surface temps with a digital probe thermometer?  Is it plugged into a thermostat or dimmerswitch to regulate?  Too hot or too cold will cause problems.  Frozen thawed is safest for snakes.  Feed in the evening, which is natural.  Make sure mouse has been completely thawed in warm water and soaked in really hot water for 30 seconds before feeding.

  6. How's the humidity.. and what is the temperature?

They sometimes won't eat when shedding. Have you tried feeding after he finished shedding?

Is there anything new that could be stressing him out? Loud noises, other snakes or pets, etc?

What do you feed him? You may want to try something else. He might just be a picky eater. Try warming up the food. Or if you use frozen mice, try live mice. You could also try other rodents, such as hamsters and gerbils.

You could also try different light intensities. Many snakes prefer darkness when eating, because instinct says they hunt in the dark. He may also need more privacy, in which case you could try putting the mouse in a hide box.

    Hope this helps!
