I have baked on grease on the pour spout areas on both sides of the bowl. What can I use to remove them. My mom has has this set since God was a child, and here I come baking something and I cannot get the stains off.

Thanx in advance.

  1. Use a green Scotch Brite pad.  It works wonders on corning ware and virtually any stainless steel or aluminum pots and pans.  Don't use on non-stick surfaces.  It will scratch and start to loosen the coating.

  2. I don't think I would use steel wool, but I would try cleanser and a wet sponge or cloth.  Have you tried soaking it in some detergent and water, or vinegar and water?

  3. Steel wool with soap in it works great, especially with really hot water!

  4. Spray on some oven cleaner and let it set for a while.....then put on some rubber gloves...use a scrubber or steel wool and it will come right off in no time.
