Coroner's jury?

has anyone served in one? if so what did you do? thanks

  1. Yes, I have served on two.  

    We were presented with three different cases and asked to rule on whether the death came about from:  accidental, homicide, natural, suicide.

    Each case was presented, with photos when necessary, and facts stated.  The jury was allowed to ask questions, as well as those that sat in the 'audience."  

    When there were no further questions, the jury got together and discussed the facts and ruled on what we felt was the cause of death.  

    It was not all that bad, and you did not have to look at the gorry photos if you did not want to.

    For me, it was a good alternative to a full week, or more of jury duty.
