I was wondering if anyone could give me some information about this town. All the basic stuff, is it a good location, traffic, schools, crime, and any other information you think is useful. Preferably from someone who has actually been/lived there. Thank you.

  2. Corozal is a small suburb west of San Juan. It is mainly mountainous and serves more of a residential purpose. Like many cities/towns, crime will be around always. Use caution always! There is a strong knit sense of community andfamily ties are very important. There are very few manfacturing jobs in the town an dmost people commute to Bayamon or San Juan for work. Whatever you decide to do (live or visit), you'll have an enjoyable time.

  3. Yes my family is from Corozal so I have been there many times. Corozal is a mountain town in the central area of PR. Its kind of quiet with farms, but it still has alot of stores & things too. You will see cows on the mountains & chickens crossing the road. Its like any othe typical small town in PR. There is not alot of crime because its out of the urban areas, of course theres always some no matter where you go. I like Corozal & I do think its a good location, there aren't many jobs here though, you need to go to the urban areas for that. There isn't much traffic here, but if you travel to the San Juan metro area, you will hit traffic. The schools are ok. Public shool kids wear uniforms & the education is fairly good. The only bad thing about public schools in PR is that the highschool kids usually are walking around outside & the teachers dont make them come back in. Anyway, if you are going on vacation or to visit someone here you might be bored, so have a car to travel. Its about a 25 minute drive to the beach from here. If you are moving here, visit first & see what you think. Good luck.

  4. To live in PR you have to have a "surfers" mind set.  What I mean with that is that real surfers dont care about making money.  They just want to surf and have fun. They dont care about their career, their future, they just live life and surf in the ocean.  In PR you have to really love PR and forget about luxury and money.  Finding a good job that pays well is hard to get.

Puerto Ricans like to party, laugh, dress well and have fun.  Most of them are broke as h**l, but are happier than a rich person.  They live day by day, hustling, working around the system.

If you are going to have a good paying job, than you are going to live well, if not, better have a "surfers" mind set.
