Well, the situation goes more or less like this: My company has been working for 3 years non stop as a very important services provider for a very important housing firm as you may know housing market is slow a this time, but we've been doing very good actually, but this GC that I service with 5 different stages of the construction process has been suffering a little more, believe me when I say, my question it's not focused on me being worried about weather I will get paid or not, they have been suffering a lot of changes of officials around the corporate side of the company and one of the most important was the promotion of the use to be construction mgr. to president of the company and hire new personnel to cover all the movement around, in particular these guy, who has been kind of a jerk since we met, I have never experienced any mistreatment from any official or non official within the company until I introduced myself and he went: "as long as you keep us on schedule I don't think you and me will have any problems ok? " just 3 seconds after he walked away as I was just answering "yes Sr no problem" it's this the kind of attitude one can expect from the new operations mgr? I've seen him a couple of times riding around the subdivisions where the jobs are taking place he won't even take a glance or say even good morning, finally yesterday my phone rings and it was him saying that there was as buzz around the office about me not willing to start any more projects until all my accounts were brought up to date, which it was a total lie and I don't know how to front these problem I made clear that the prior morning I had met with the president of the company, that our conversation had been kind as always and no money had ever been an issue between them and me, I tried to get in touch with the president again yesterday but it seems that the only way will be shooting him an e mail but I dont know where to start neither I want to sound improfessional just like he did I told him why he didn't checked if that information was accurate (which is not) and then call me or spread the word around , and I thought this is maybe a corporate move, is there any kind of tool I can download of how to write to the president of the corporation or any of you have any idea of how to handle this situation please help I'm lost and don't want it to get out of hand.

  1. You don't need anything fancy.

Just mail (not email)  a short note to both the president and the construction manager stating:

      1.  You are perfectly willing to start new projects.

      2.  Although you would appreciate all of your accounts being brought up to date you know this is a bad time for the industry and you will be happy to work with them.

                       -- or --

      2.  You know they are good for what they owe you and you have no problems with the present account balance.

3.You are disturbed by the rumors they have heard and you want them to know they are completely groundless.

      4. You value your business relationship and hope the rumors they have heard don't cause it to go sour.

Put these three ideas in your own words (then run it through spell checker and -- if you have it -- a grammar checker).

    Hope this helps

  2. Here look around here and see if you can find something. If it's not exactly what your looking for, the best would definitely be short and to the point. I'm sure he'll know if your trying to butter him up and keep your cool. You don;t want to loose your respect. that you have to gain. be professional and remember to stay unemotional. It's business and that's it.
