Question:

Correct clothing for ToysRUs Interview?

I have a group and solo interview at Toys 'R' Us tomorrow. And yes, I am that desperate that I had to apply there. Because it is a retail kids store, I think a suit is a little overkill for appearance. Right now, it's a toss-up between khakis and a two-button polo, or a complete button up shirt. With or without a tie, but obviously I'd prefer without.

What formal attire should I wear that is not too formal, but not too sloppily casual?

  1. You may like working there! The product is fun, generally customers in toy stores are having fun so just hope the management is fun and nice also.

Khaki's and a button down are a great choice.  Make sure they are both ironed (tough for some folks to do!) And make sure your shoes are clean and polished.  You don't have to wear a tie, but if you are group interviewing, it may help make you stand OUT in the crowd (along with your great answers!)

I wish you well...Will be thinking of you!  :)
