Correct way of buying towel sets for a couple?

Question

So I went and bought 3 white towels and 3 beige towels for me and my partner. I thought I could use the white, and he could use the beige and we wouldn't get towels mixed up.

Well. How wrong I was told I was. He says all active towels in the bathroom must be the same colour and I just need to be less lazy in where I put my towel to differentiate between them.

Please help...what's the "right" way to buy towel sets?

i have the same problem  some ppl like each individual set of towels 2 have a wash cloth, hand towel, and body towel  wut u can do is get howevr many sets u want + wen u put fresh towels out have a specific place u put ur towel so u always kno whose is whose  if that doesn't work u can get 1/2 the towels embroidered wit ur innitials + the othr 1/2 wit ur partner's innitials

They are actually meant to be the same colour.  What my husband and I do is we place our towel in the same place so we know which is which.  His is closer to the door and mine is closer to the window but still on the same rack.

I agree... we have designated spots for our towels. And we all have matching towels. It looks better!! We have 3 kids and the towels were always on the floor until I gave everyone their own spot to hang their towel. Now I know who's towel isn't hanging up or missing and we don't need to worry about passing germs etc on to each other.

Buy the same color and styles of towels.  Make sure you have plenty of all types of towels - body, hand, and wash cloths.  Your partner is right   - you don't need to buy different colors of towels.  You and your partner should choose separate places to put your towels.  Maybe you could have separate racks.  Or you could share a rack but you always take the right side while your partner always takes the left.
