  1. You would have to go to the States web site and look up the information there. You would have to apply and do the first test to see if you are a qulified candidate.

Than you go to training .

  2. well my dad is a police officer and once a correctional officer trust me be a regular police officer drive around help people its better and probably better hours and pay

  3. Personally I'd stick with working with/around adult offenders.

I use to work with some one who worked with the juvenile offenders and she said it was a lot worse than working with the adults.  I can totally believe that what she was telling me was true.

You make no mention of your age.

If you are still in high school and this is what you are planning as a career, I'd say that weather you work around adults or Juveniles you should get a degree in criminal Justice.  I say this since most places are going to want to hire people that have some sort of degree or a back ground in law enforcement or even a military background.

Plus most facilities  want people who have some kind of experience,  as well as being able to hire people who are at least 21 years of age or older.  The reason for being at least 21 or older is that the person will be more mature, and with age comes wisdom.

Working as a Correctional Officer you are going to want to have some sort of experience, a degree will help you out a lot.  Either that or a military background would also be great to have.

I hope that this helps answer your question.  I wish you all the best.  God bless you!
